Why?
Finesse Finishing Football Academy was founded to help people get more from their connection to football than they are currently getting.
We aim to create a community for people to achieve whatever they can from the game wherever they are in their journey.
Whether that be players looking to receive functional and bespoke training in small to medium sized groups, to the working professional looking for another form of exercise to fit into their busy schedule, hopefully there is something to reach football lovers across a wide spectrum.
Who?
The founder of Finesse Finishing Football Academy and the man behind the business is Tony Massie.
Which allows me to write this from a more personal standpoint, instead in a third-person narrative – which I’m not a massive fan of doing!
From a coaching perspective, I hold the UEFA A Licence and have more than 20 years of coaching experience across a host of different levels in the game.
I have coached adult men’s and women’s teams, as well as spending time in professional youth coaching in Scotland at clubs including St Mirren, Dumbarton, Queens Park and I currently coach the U16s at Alloa Athletic FC.
I also spent nearly 5 years at Celtic FC working in and leading a part of their International Soccer Academy, before spending 6 years coaching in the ECNL boys league (a national league) in Indianapolis, USA.
I am married to Amy and I am a proud Dad to Theo, our 2-year-old. We have another on the way, so more hectic times lie ahead, I’m sure!
